Not one but many of these holes in areas under DBKL are not fixed
DBKL’s services have deteriorated over the past 30 years since I started to highlight its poor services in the early 90s.
This is despite complaints having been highlighted in the past few weeks. The pothholes at the junction between Jalan Lang Emas and Jalan Burung Hantu, for example, have not been repaired till now. One can only wonder why the director of public relations Zurida Hashim and the mayor, Datuk Kamaruzzaman Mat Salleh are doing. Did they even go on the ground to look at the condition of the road with rough patches done to the road? Along Jalan Lang Emas there are several deep potholes.
Jalan Kepong and Jalan Maaruf in Bangsar are also riddled with potholes but till now never been repaired. The contractors working on public amenities are allowed to do a shoddy work without penalising them.
In the first place i wonder why the secretary to the federal government Tan Sri Zuki Ali is appointing mayors who are not serious about their work. What’s more alarming when I hear from others that he just pays lip service, and not solving the problems.
Do they not see how these potholes can cause motorcyclists to fall and injure themselves. There are several of these manholes along Jalan Kepong which have been opened and never closed properly, no thanks to the mayor and his men.
The Local Government run by goons need to be cleaned up urgently. We are all waiting for the Sultan of Johor to ascend the throne in January next year. Hopefully by Tuanku will make visits to places unannounced, and little Napoleons will blush when Tuanku comments on the poor performance of city halls like DBKL.
This blog will eventually build up to prove one point: things in DBKL have not improved yet. People want to see reforms in the city council.
Kuala Lumpur a modern city with tall buildings but third world public amenities!
