  I revived this blog out of sheer frustration—frustration that builds up every time I drive along Jalan Lang Emas and Jalan Bukit Maluri. It seems to me that the work attitude of DBKL staff has not changed since the 1990s, when I first began writing for the Malay Mail. Despite raising my concerns privately with both Hannah and the new mayor, I received no response. It is not that I consider myself important, but the condition in which these roads are repaired is simply unacceptable. Instead of improving comfort and safety for motorists, the repairs leave behind uneven patches scattered along the ճանապարհ—making the drive worse than before. Even though Hannah is one of my favourite ministers, whose performance is getting the attention of KLites, even she was not spared because I did not want to show any favouritism. No favouritism: Brickbats for even Hannah

Hannah should realise public will endure potholes and flash floods for only a time period  DAP in these days are getting to my nerves, especially with issues that they are not willing to resolve in order to fix the system, although in them, the authority and powers are vested in and they know poor delivery of public services is a systemic issue that has plaqued the nation, but continues even into 2026. For over two weeks now or more, I have been highlighting the problem with Jalan lang Emas and Jalan Bukit Maluri in Hannah’s pwn constituency. In those days, when Dr Zaliha Mustafa and my Maimunah were in charge of the Federal Territories in their respective positions, I only had to send complaints about potholes to aduan potholes DBKL hotline. Problems were fixed not long after. I am not sure why but these days especially during the weekends, the people manning the WhatsApp hotline appear to be indifferent, even addressing me as Cik when my profile picture clearly showed I am a man....

Prestasi DBKL perlu diperbaiki lagi

Blog ini diwujudkan untuk memastikan setiap orang sentiasa ‘berada di atas jari kaki’ — sentiasa peka dan bersiap siaga — tanpa mengira siapa orangnya; jika tidak, tiada siapa akan bergerak dan rakyat akan terus menanggung kesan daripada kelemahan penyampaian perkhidmatan oleh pengarah‑pengarah DBKL dan Datuk Bandar. DEWAN Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) perlu diberi perhatian sepenuhnya kerana kerja yang tidak dibuat menjadikan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur sebuah bandaraya bertaraf ibunegara tetapi terbiar saja dengan tiadanya kerja penguatkuasaan mahupun kerja yang dibuat dengan memuaskan.  Sila lihat berapa banyaknya lori-lori treler panjang di Intan Baiduri yang terletak di tepi jalan. Mengikut pengadu, aduan sudah dibuat kepada Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalanraya (JPJ) tetapi JPJ mengatakan ini di luar bidang kuasa mereka. Call for Actions by DBKL

A special Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) task force must be established to restore and improve the image of Kepong. The level of neglect by DBKL over the years is shocking. During a second visit tonight, a walk through the back lanes revealed how poorly the town has been managed. Imagine last Wednesday when my cousin invited our relatives visiting from Australia and seeing what I see tonight. For this reason, the blog will have to be reactivated to highlight more issues never solved by the city hall.  There are long-unrepaired drains, discarded buntings left to rot instead of being cleared, unattended potholes, and a drain culvert temporarily covered with makeshift wooden planks. These are not isolated inconveniences; they are visible signs of systemic neglect that affect residents’ daily lives and safety. It is timely that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has warned local authorities to improve performance, or face redesignation, disciplinary action, or even dismissal....

DBKL, Prihatin sedikit kepada warga kota

Saya difahamkan menerusi seorang rakan saya bahawa YB Menteri Dr Zaliha Mustafa, selaku Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri telah terbaca blog saya berkenaan dengan masalah sepanjang Jalan Bukit Maluri dan Jalan Lang Emas.  Walaupun sebelum ini, masalah seumpama ini sudah disalurkan kepada Datuk Bandar dan PRO DBKL, namum tidak ada tindakan mahupun sebarang maklumbalas bila masalah ini dapat diselesaikan demi keselesaan warga kota.  Sebenarnya, masalah disepanjang jalan ini sudahpun diberitahu kepada Datuk Bandar DS Kamaruzaman Mat Salleh sejak SEPT 13, 2023!
